Sunday 21st April 2024. Fourth Sunday of Easter
FR DAVID WRITES
Today, the Fourth Sunday of Easter, is Good Shepherd Sunday and the World Day of Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood. Please pray for Ashley, our own seminarian, who is currently completing his second year of formation (his first in Chelsea, as he was in Spain last year). Please also pray for more vocations in the diocese. Please also pray for our young candidates for First Holy Communion who made their First Confessions here yesterday (Saturday morning) and for their families. God bless you all.
Sunday 14th April 2024. Third Sunday of Easter
FR DAVID WRITES
We continue our joyful journey through the Easter season. Easter isn’t just one day or even one week - it is a special season of fifty days which leads to the great feasts of the Ascension and Pentecost. Please keep on celebrating! I hope everyone had a good Easter holiday from school, college or work and send you all love and best wishes for the summer term which begins this week.
Sunday 7th April 2024. Second Sunday of Easter
THANK YOU
Fr David, Fr Andrew & Fr Johnson would like to thank you for your kindness over the Easter. For your prayers, good wishes, cards and gifts.
VOLUNTEERS
A very big thank you to all those who helped prepare the Church for Easter, the cleaners, Choirs, servers, readers, Eucharistic ministers, flower arrangers, collectors and anyone else who helped in anyway.
Sunday 31st March 2024. Easter Sunday
FR DAVID WRITES
Happy Easter! Today is the greatest of all solemnities: the Resurrection of the Lord from the dead. The Lenten journey is now concluded, and we have lived the days of Passiontide and Holy Week with real faith and devotion. We send you all every good wish for the days of Easter and hope you all have a good Easter holiday. Many thanks go to all our parishioners and volunteers who have helped with, prepared, led or participated in our great celebrations and in preparing the church - thank you all! Christ is Risen. Alleluia!
Sunday 24th March 2024. Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord
THIS IS HOLY WEEK
This week is Holy Week, the greatest week in the Church’s year. This week, in the liturgy, we celebrate the greatest mystery at the heart of our faith: the Paschal Mystery of Christ’s passion, death and resurrection. Let us live these days with faith and devotion. We look forward to seeing you all at church in the coming days.
Sunday 17th March 2024. Fifth Sunday of Lent
FR DAVID WRITES
We had a lovely Mothers Day last weekend and hope all our mothers had a special day. Today is the Fifth Sunday of Lent (the beginning of Passiontide) and next week we will celebrate Palm Sunday which is the start of Holy Week. I hope that we will all be able to live these special days with faith, devotion and participation at church.
