LENT 2017:
Lent offers us an opportunity to deepen the meaning and value of our Christian lives. In the Lenten period the Church makes it her duty to propose some specific tasks that accompany the faithful in this process of interior renewal: these are prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

DEVOTIONS FOR LENT
STATIONS OF THE CROSS:

Every Friday after the 10 am Mass and at 7.30 pm.  We are looking for volunteers or groups to lead the Friday evening Stations of the Cross.  Please sign the list in the Church Porch if you are able to help.

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
Monday – Friday 6.45 am – 7.45 am, and the first, third and fourth Sunday of Lent from 1.30 pm – 5.30 pm.  Please sign the list in the Porch if you are able to watch during the exposition on Sundays.

CARDINAL’S APPEAL:

As Catholics Lent is a time for prayer, fasting and almsgiving so that we might expand our hearts to love God and our neighbour more fervently.
This year the Cardinal  has asked that the collection for Lenten Alms be directed to the Cardinal’s Appeal Fund.  The funds raised will go to support parishes or groups in their work to further the mission of the Church: to serve the evangelisation of youth, to develop Marriage and family projects, and to provide service in society, especially those on the margins.  There will be a collection after all Masses this weekend.

LENTEN COLLECTION FOR THE HOMELESS:

We will be collecting tins and toiletries during Lent for Barnet Homeless Action. Please leave any donations in the box at the back of the Church – thank you.

DIOCESAN VACANCIES:
