CAFOD HARVEST FAST DAY:
CAFOD works with poor communities overseas on our behalf, helping them to tackle poverty and injustice.  Last Friday was Harvest Fast Day and there will be a collection after all Masses this weekend.  Please use the envelopes if you can, and if you pay UK tax, complete the Gift Aid section to add 25% to the amount that you donate.  Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity.

FR DAVID & FR GABRIELE WELCOME MASS:  
There will be ‘Welcome Mass’ for Fr. David and Fr Gabriele on Friday 13th October at 7.30 pm with the main celebrant being Bishop John Sherrington.  After the Mass there will be a reception in the Parish Hall.  You are all warmly invited.

SECONDARY SCHOOL TRANSFER PRIESTS SIGNING:
If you are considering a place for your child at a Catholic secondary school please sign for an appointment in the Paper shop today.   Certificates of Catholic Practice will be signed on Monday 16th October.

SUNDAY MORNING REFRESHMENT & PAPERSHOP ROTAS:
New Rotas are available for collection from the Papershop.

READERS AT THE 11.15 AM MASS:
If you would like to read at the 11.15 am Mass please leave your details with Parish Office.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
Those children who made their First Holy Communion in 2016 who have not collected their books please contact the Parish Office.

BAPTISM COURSE:
Parents are reminded of their course on Monday at 7.30 pm.

BECOMING AN ALTAR SERVER:
Anyone who has done their First Communion is welcome to apply to become a server.  Please return the tear off slip below if you would like to know more.

FAIRTRADE STALL:
The stall will be open at the usual times next weekend.

FR JOHN SAYS THANK YOU!
Fr. John would like to thank everyone for their generosity and for the lovely farewell reception last weekend.  He will keep you all in his prayers.

ANNE HORAN RIP:
The Requiem takes place on Thursday 19th October at 10 am.

MARY’S MEALS WORLD PORRIDGE DAY:
This was created in 2009 to raise awareness of Mary’s Meals school feeding programme and the difference a daily mug of porridge served in a school can make to the world’s poorest children.  Next weekend Mary’s Meals will be selling porridge for a donation in the Parish Hall after all Masses.

IRISH DANCING CLASSES:

PRE ORDER YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE!
Low-needle drop Christmas trees available for collection from mid-December.   All proceeds to the Hatters Explorer Scout Unit (where most of our Scouts go), for their expedition to Peru next year.  Price depends on height of the tree.  See the poster at the back of the church or call Joe Sutton on 07773 808156.
