CONFIRMATION 2019:
We welcome Bishop John Sherrington to our parish to preside over our Confirmation celebration, which takes place on Friday, 17th May at 7.30 pm. Candidates are reminded of their rehearsal, which begins at 7 pm sharp on Wednesday 15th in the Hall.  Please bring your sponsor with you if possible, if not an adult should accompany you.
CANDIDATES - Please arrive at 7 pm on Friday and meet in the Hall.

MAY BAPTISM COURSE:
The May course begins on Monday 13th May, when parents are invited to come to the Parish Centre between 7 – 8 pm to complete an application form.

ELIZABETH BEARY RIP:
The Requiem takes place on Friday, 17th May at 10 am.  Reception of the Body is on Thursday evening at 5 pm.  May she rest in peace.

GUIDO VILLA RIP:
The Requiem Mass is on Monday 20th May at 10 am.  May he rest in peace.

WEEKDAY MASSES IN MAY:
As there are no 8 am Masses during May, all intentions will be transferred to future dates.  If you would like to know when, please contact the Office by phone, email, or pop in.

22nd SOUTHGATE SCOUT GROUP NEWS:
Our Scout Group are delighted to announce that they have been accepted into the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme.  All you need to do is place a token in the box marked  22nd Southgate Scout Group, Ultimate Summer Adventure Project.  The project with the highest vote will receive £4,000.  Voting is in Tesco stores during May and June 2019.  A full list of stores taking part is on the Scout notice board in the Hall.

YOUNG ADULTS:
‘Echoes from the Youth Synod’.  
A meeting for young adults at Archbishop’s House, Victoria, will take place on Tuesday 21st May at 6.30 pm. An opportunity for young adults to come together following the Synod of Bishops meeting on youth last October.  Bishop John Wilson will be leading reflections on the recently published exhortation ‘Christus Vivit’ from Pope Francis addressed to young people.  Please let us the diocese know if you would like to go at This email address is being protected from spambots. FAIR TRADE STALL:
Open in the Hall until the start of the 12.30 pm Mass when we begin to pack up.  Food favourites unavailable since January are now back in stock.

PRIEST TRAINING FUND:
Today is Good Shepherd Sunday, the day we pray for priests and for vocations to the Priesthood.  The annual collection for the Priest Training Fund will take place this weekend.  This fund pays for the priestly formation of men for the Catholic priesthood.  There are currently 45 men studying at Allen Hall seminary, 27 of whom are for our own Diocese, and last year eight men were ordained to the priesthood to serve as our future priests.  This fund also supports the ongoing enrichment and formation of our ordained priests.  Your generous donation helps ensure we can support these men who are called to be like Christ the Good Shepherd.  Donation leaflets are available at the back of the Church.  Please continue to pray for vocations and for our priests.

MONTH OF MARY:
Rosary, May devotions and Benediction will be on Sunday, 19th May, at 5 pm.

FINANCE TEAM MEETING:

RWANDAN CRAFT DAY:
Back by Popular Demand!!

Come and join us for a few hours of crafting and fun.  Crafts include mandala painting, fabric jewellery making, paper crafts and block printing.
