FR DAVID WRITES:
Easter is a season of fifty days of joy which flows towards the great feasts of the Ascension and Pentecost. The new life which Easter brings to the Church has been witnessed recently in our parish as we welcomed new adults into the Church, we celebrated 63 First Holy Communions and 41 Confirmations. May is the month of Mary, the Mother of the Risen Jesus. Please join us this afternoon (Sunday) at 5 pm in church for Rosary, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction as we mark this special time.  God bless you all.

CONFIRMATIONS 2019:
Congratulations and prayerful best wishes to our 41 young people who were Confirmed by Bishop Sherrington in a wonderful celebration here on Friday evening.  Many thanks to everyone who supported them, especially their sponsors, with prayers and friendship. Thanks also go to our team of catechists who helped prepare the young people for their Confirmation, to all who helped in celebrating the Liturgy and preparing the church on Friday and especially to Bishop Sherrington for leading the celebration.

8 AM MASS:
The 8 am Mass on weekdays will return on Thursday 30 May (Ascension Thursday) which is also a Holy Day of Obligation. Although the 8 am Mass will be back to normal, the Finance Committee (which also considers matters regarding the premises) have asked that, for the time being, we continue to keep the car park closed until after 9 am so that it is not abused by people who have no connection with the parish. I appreciate this may present a difficulty for some 8 am Mass-goers. However, there are no parking restrictions outside the car park at that time, and results of the car park project in May have been very positive.  I thank you all for your forbearance in this regard.  Fr. David.
