THIS IS HOLY WEEK
Today is Palm Sunday - the beginning of Holy Week. Please take a blessed palm with you and place it at home, as a sign of your willingness to follow Christ into the mystery of his Passion, Death and Resurrection. Please take a Holy Week sheet, or see the back of this newsletter, for the schedule of Masses, celebrations and confessions in the coming week. We look forward to seeing you all especially for the Sacred Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter. God bless you!

HOLY THURSDAY
The Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be at 7.30pm, with the washing of feet. The church will remain open until 10pm for private prayer at the Altar of Repose.

GOOD FRIDAY
Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence. The Celebration of the Lord’s Passion takes place here at 3pm. There will be a retiring collection for the Holy Places.

HOLY SATURDAY & EASTER SUNDAY
The Easter Vigil is at 7pm. The rule is that this should take the place of the normal vigil Masses, so please remember there is no Mass at 4pm or 6pm next Saturday. The Easter Vigil is the most special celebration in the life of the Church - please join us. Masses on Easter Sunday are all at the usual times for Sunday morning. The Easter collection will be taken at all Masses next weekend. Thank you in for your generosity.

EASTER COLLECTION ENVELOPES
If you will be away next week, please take an Easter Offering envelope so that you can either leave your Easter offering before you go, or when you return. The Easter collection is very important for the life of the Parish. Thank you.

COLLECTION TODAY
Please leave an offering after Mass, if you can, to help with the Easter flowers etc.

CHRISM MASS
The Chrism Mass will be held on Tuesday at Westminster Cathedral at 12 noon. It is always a beautiful occasion in which the oils for the year are consecrated, and the first Chrism Mass by Archbishop Moth. All are welcome to attend.

WASHING OF FEET
We need twelve volunteers, men and women, who would have their foot washed by the priest during the evening Mass on Holy Thursday at 7.30pm. If you are willing, please sign the list in the porch, remember to come on Holy Thursday, and please sit on the end of the bench so we can reach you. Thank you.

ALTAR SERVERS
Parents: please ask your child to sign the list in the sacristy so that we know which Altar Servers will be available for the various services. Servers are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before each celebration in Holy Week. Thank you.

EASTER DUTIES & CONFESSIONS
Confessions this week will be on Monday and Wednesday (after 10am Mass), Good Friday at 10am, and Holy Saturday at 3pm.

HELEN WESTBURY RIP
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Helen Westbury, and for her family Bob, Simon and Emma. Helen’s body will be received at on Monday 13 April at 6pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 14 April at 10am.

FAIR TRADE
Last minute gifts for Easter Weekend, including a small number of ‘Real’ Easter dark chocolate eggs which are vegan and vegetarian and other things to celebrate the end of all those breaking their Lent Chocolate fast will be on sale in the hall this weekend.

BERNADETTE CLUB
Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 2 April 2-4 pm in the parish centre. We still have some places available for our coach trip to the Van Hage Garden Centre on Thursday 7 May. Tickets £15. There will no club meeting in May as the parish centre is being used as a polling station.
