FR DAVID WRITES
Today in the Gospel, Jesus shatters our human calculations of justice by telling us to forgive ‘seventy-seven times.’ Our first reading reminds us that nursing anger only imprisons our own hearts. Forgiveness is rarely easy but is a personal step towards healing. Let us pray for the grace to let go of grudges and old sins, remember the immense mercy God shows us all daily, and offer that same healing grace to others.

PRAYERS FOR PEACE, CREATION & LIFE
This weekend, please pray for peace in the world, especially on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. We also pray for the care of creation at this time, and for the dignity of human life especially in illness and old age.
