FR DAVID WRITES
This Thursday is the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord (Ascension Thursday) and is a Holy Day. The Ascension marks the fortieth day of Easter time, when Our Lord was taken up to heaven. Masses here will be at 8am, 10am with the primary school joining us, and 7pm. The car park will be open for all Masses.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNIONS & CONFIRMATIONS
Many congratulations to all our children who made their First Holy Communion here on Saturday. Two lovely Masses were celebrated with their parents and
families. Thank you to the catechists and all who helped celebrate the Masses. Please also pray for the teenagers who will receive Confirmation this coming Friday at 7pm. We look forward to a special evening and to welcoming Bishop John Sherrington to the parish. Please keep all the children, young people and their families in your prayers.

MAY
May is the month of Mary. Please join us at 9.30 am every weekday morning—Monday to Friday—to pray the rosary in church.

MAY BANK HOLIDAY & PARISH OFFICE
Monday is the May Bank Holiday. Mass here will be at 10 am only. Please also note that Parish Office will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday. Have a lovely day!

CONFIRMATION
Candidates are reminded of their rehearsal on Tuesday 7th May at 7pm.
We warmly welcome Bishop Sherrington who will be celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 10th May at 7pm.

BERNADETTE CLUB
The next meeting of the Bernadette Club will take place on Thursday 6th June when we look forward to seeing you.

SUNDAY TEA & COFFEE
Please join us in the hall after 8.30, 9.45 and 11.15 Masses on Sunday morning for tea, coffee, biscuits, and an opportunity to chat with other parishioners. Thank you to those who help to run the tea and coffee every week— it is much appreciated by everyone.

PARISH SHOP
We have a very well stocked repository (shop) in the Parish, where you can find all kinds of items, including candles, cards, statues and rosaries.  You can find a range of Confirmation cards here at the moment.  Please pop in for a look—you will find the card machine in there too.  It is on your right as  you enter the Hall and is open after all Sunday masses.

ANNUAL MASS OF THANKSGIVING FOR THE SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY
Westminster Cathedral Saturday 25 May at 2.30 pm. The Cardinal is inviting, to this Mass, all couples in the Diocese, who are celebrating significant wedding anniversaries of Catholic marriage in 2024.  If you would like to attend, please email the Parish Office with the following: husband and wife’s names, wedding date, full postal address and email (or number, if no email).

OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL
Help our school get £1,500. Our school has applied for a grant from Tesco to upgrade the infant playground. We will be up against other schools and whoever gets the most votes will win the £1,500. To vote you need to shop at Tesco and ask for the blue token when you check out. We will be in local stores—Colney Hatch Lane, Hampden Square, Whetstone and others from April to June—thank you.

DIVINE MERCY RECOLLECTION DAY
The Divine Mercy Apostolate, London is holding a Recollection Day at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, on Saturday 1st June.  The day will include teachings on the Message of Mercy, Holy Mass, Stations of the Cross, Hour of Mercy with Adoration and Benediction and Veneration of the Image of Merciful Jesus.
