SECONDARY SCHOOL TRANSFER - PRIEST FORMS:
Parents who completed the Secondary School self-assessment form are asked to sign up for an appointment on Monday 21st October.  The sheets are in the Paper Shop after Mass today.

OCTOBER BAPTISM COURSE:
The second part of the Course takes place in the Small Hall on Monday, 14th October at 7.30 pm.

PARISH FUND RAISING LUNCH:

A Very big thank you to Cecilia, Clyde and their team for the wonderful lunch last Sunday. Thanks also to all those who supported the event and made donations.  A total of £1,513 was raised towards the fencing around the Parish Hall.

RCIA COURSE:
The RCIA course begins on Sunday 20th October at 11.15 am in the Upstairs Office.  Please meet in the lobby of the Parish Hall near the Paper Shop.

ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PASSAGE:
The Passage, a Catholic charity helping homeless people, is holding its Annual Meeting of Friends and Supporters on Thursday 17th October in Westminster Cathedral Hall, Ambrosden Avenue, London SW1P 1QJ, at 6.45 pm for 7.00 pm followed by refreshments.  All are welcome.

BLESSING OF GRAVES:

Fr. Mark, of New Barnet Parish, will be blessing graves in New Southgate cemetery on Sunday 10th November at 2 pm.

PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO ROME & ASSISI 27th Oct – 4th Nov 2014:

A pilgrimage is being planned for next October during half term week. Please see the notice in the church porch for further details. Please indicate if you are interested in going by the end of October.

FAIR TRADE:
October's Fair Trade stall today features some items suitable for Christmas especially for those of you who like to plan ahead!

EXPLORER SCOUTS NAMIBIA APPEAL CAKE SALE:
The Hatters Explorer Scouts are holding a cake sale, to raise funds for a return visit to Namibia, where they helped plant an orange grove two year ago.

The sale will take place after all morning Masses on October 20th in the Parish Hall.  Donations of cakes and sellable items like toiletries, tins of chocolates etc. would be most welcome, and so would your presence on the day to talk to the Scouts about the project, and to enjoy a home-made cake or two!  The Scouts have changed a lot of people’s lives in Namibia with your generous support.  Any donations or for further information please call Caroline on 07754 779171.

SCOUT GROUP NEWS:
Following the Macmillan Coffee Morning on 29th September, there are still some uncollected raffle prizes. Pictures of the prizes and the winning tickets can be seen on notice boards in the church hall, together with a phone number to ring to arrange collection.

If your son or daughter is 6 or 7 years old, you may be interested in them joining the Beaver Scout Colony, which meets in the Parish Hall on Mondays between 5.15 - 6.15 pm.  The Beaver Colony is part of one of the biggest and busiest Scout Groups in North London.  Application forms are available from the Scout's noticeboard in the lobby of the Parish Hall.
