HOLY WEEK & EASTER:
Holy Week begins two weeks from today on Palm Sunday. The celebration of the central mysteries of our faith – the death and resurrection of Jesus – are at the heart of the life of every parish. Please take a card today with the dates and times of the great celebrations of this most special time.
PLANNED GIVING BOXES:
New planned Giving Boxes for April are now ready for collection from the Small Hall after Mass. Please collect yours as soon as possible. The new year starts on Sunday 7th April.
AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED:
Today at Masses we will hear from our ACN group about suffering Christians, and there will be a second collection for this charity.
ACN PRAYER FOR SYRIA:
‘What marvels the Lord worked for us!’ Lord, help those rebuilding their lives of faith in Syria.
BERNADETTE CLUB:
The April meeting is on Friday, 5th, at 2 pm in the Parish Hall.
RCIA REHEARSAL:
There is a rehearsal for our RCIA candidates on Wednesday, 3rd April, at 6 pm in the church.
KNIFE CRIME:
On Saturday, 6th April, between 2 – 4 pm, the Cardinal will take part in a Rally in Trafalgar Square under the heading ‘Standing Together’. It will focus first on the tragic consequences of knife crime, sharing a lament with those who have suffered the loss of a loved one and then it will proclaim the goodness of so many young people and give forth a voice of hope, much needed at this time. Please attend if you are able to, or if not, keep the rally in your prayers.
EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION:
We are very grateful to all our Eucharistic Ministers who help with the distribution of Holy Communion at Masses and many who also visit the sick. We are currently recruiting new ministers to help at Sunday Masses and we have already enrolled some candidates. There is some short formation involved before the role begins, and being part of a rota once it starts. If any parishioners would like to talk about the possibility of this role and what it involves, please see Fr David or Fr Andrew after Mass.
MOTHER’S DAY:
Today, the Fourth Sunday of Lent, is known as ‘Laetare Sunday’ a day of rejoicing in the heart of our Lenten journey. Today is also known as Mothering Sunday. We send our best wishes, thanks and prayers to all mothers for their very special place in our lives. Thank you mums!

The first phase will be programmes of holiday food and activities for children who do not have access to free school meals in the holidays, as well as an education and advocacy campaign to address the underlying causes of food poverty. This work will be led by Caritas Westminster on behalf of the Cardinal. There will be a collection for Lenten Alms after all Masses next weekend.
