Many thanks to everyone who sent Easter wishes, cards and gifts last weekend. Your kindness is greatly appreciated! Many thanks again to everyone who worked to make the Holy Week celebrations so prayerful and special. Today is the Octave Day of Easter – also known as ‘Dominica in Albis’ (Sunday in White), Quasimodo Sunday and the Feast of Divine Mercy. We renew again our Easter wishes – the Lord is risen: Alleluia!
SRI LANKA ATTACKS:
Fr David will lead some special prayers at Mass on Wednesday for those affected in the attacks in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
FUN RUN IN ARNOS PARK:

READERS & EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS & SUNDAY MORNING REFRESHMENT ROTAS:

MEMORY LANE CAFÉ & CARERS CLUB:
For people with Alzheimer’s, Dementia & Carers. Join us every Friday 10.45 am – 1.30 pm in the Parish Hall. Tea, Coffee, snacks & sandwiches provided as well as singing, dancing & games.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2019:
Rehearsals take place on Thursday 2nd May: Children making their First Holy Communion at 11.30am should be in the Parish Hall at 5.15pm. Those children at the 2.30pm Mass should be in the Parish Hall at 6.15pm.
We would like to wish every blessing to all the Children who will be receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on Saturday 4th May.
CONFIRMATION:
Candidates are reminded of their next Confirmation session on Saturday 11th May at 3.45pm. The Rehearsal will take place on Wednesday 15th May at 7pm sharp starting in the Parish Hall, sponsors should attend if possible. Please note there will be No session on the 4th May.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will take place on Friday 17th May at 7.30pm. Candidates and sponsors to be in the Church Hall no later than 7pm.
BAPTISM:
The next application for Baptism will take place on Monday 13th May from 7pm – 8pm in the Parish Centre.
CLAIRE FORDE RIP:
Reception of Body Sunday at 5pm. Requiem Mass Monday 29th April at 10am. May she rest in peace.
SCHOOL MASS & EXPOSITION:
Children from Reception and Year 5 will join us for a special Mass on Thursday, followed by a brief time of Eucharistic adoration.
WEEKDAY MASSES IN MAY:
Like last year Fr Johnson has an opportunity to go to India in May, with Fr Thomas gone, we are sorry to have to cancel the 8am Masses in May. Mass intentions will be transferred by the Parish Office. If you would like to know when, please contact the Office by phone, email, or pop in.
CAR PARK:
Please note that, because there is no 8am Mass in May, the car park will open slightly later.
MONTH OF MARY:
May is the month of Mary. There will be rosary, May devotions and Benediction for Parishioners later in the month. Details to be announced. Our Primary School May devotions for children at Our Lady of Lourdes will take place on Monday 20th May at 2.30pm.
OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL:
Our Lady of Lourdes school will have pupil vacancies in its September 2019 Reception and Year 1 Classes. SCOUT COFFEE MORNING:
Two of our scouts are holding a coffee morning today with cakes and a raffle in the Parish Hall. All funds raised will go towards the cost of the scout jamboree which will be held in West Virginia later this year. Pop into the Hall today after the 8.30am, 9.45am & 11.15am Masses.
BERNADETTE CLUB:
Takes place on Friday 3rd May from 2pm in the Parish Hall.
