FR DAVID WRITES:
The days between Ascension and Pentecost are marked by an intense prayer to the Holy Spirit to renew the life-giving gifts he brings to the Church and our lives. We are united in a spiritual sense with the first Christians who were in the Upper Room waiting for the promised gift of the Holy Spirit, and with Christians around the world who invoke the Spirit’s power. Next weekend, we will celebrate the great day itself - Pentecost Sunday - which is also the final and the crowning day of the Easter Season. May God bless you all as we celebrate these great days of faith.
IAN COLEMAN:
God willing, Ian Coleman will be ordained as a Permanent Deacon in Westminster Cathedral on 22nd June. In preparation for this, he will make a Profession of Faith at the 6.30pm Mass on Pentecost Sunday. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
PARISH COUNCIL MEETING:
The Parish Council will meet on Monday 10th June at 7.30 pm in the Counting Room in the Presbytery.
BLESSING OF GRAVES:
We will be blessing graves at Waterfall Road Cemetery on Saturday, 15th June, at 11 am. All welcome.

CONFIRMATION COURSE 2019:
All those who were confirmed last month are reminded of their celebration BBQ which will take place on Saturday 15th June following the ‘Going Forward’ Mass at 6.30 pm. The photographer will be present on this evening.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
Parents are reminded of the ‘Going Forth’ Mass on Sunday 9th June at 11.15 am. Children can wear their special clothes for this occasion. There will be a celebration in the parish hall after Mass. The photographer will also be available on this day.
JUNE BAPTISM COURSE:
The next course begins on Monday 3rd June, when you are invited to come to the Parish Hall between 7 – 8 pm to complete an application form. The second part of the course is on June 10th.
22nd SOUTHGATE SCOUT GROUP NEWS:
Our Scout Group are delighted to announce that they have been accepted into the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme for May and June. All you need to do is place a token in the box marked 22nd Southgate Scout Group, Ultimate Summer Adventure Project. The project with the highest vote will receive £4,000. A full list of stores is on the Scout notice board in the Hall.
ALTAR CLOTH CLEANING:
