CHURCH OPEN FOR PRAYER
Since last Monday, our church has been open for prayer every day from 12 noon till 2pm. This will continue in the coming week. We are all so pleased that this has been possible. Thank you for the thoughtful conduct and cooperation of everyone who has visited the church, and thank you to those who have kindly volunteered to supervise and clean the church. The whole operation has only been possible by the generosity and patience of all involved. May God bless you all.
THE NEXT STEPS
The Church is continuing to work with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on the next steps for restoring the life of churches and other places of worship. There was a diocesan meeting for deans on Friday. As soon as we are able to bring you news of the next stages, we will do so. We know that many of you are anxious to come back to Mass and, for example, to go to confession. Hopefully these things will be available again in the not-too-distant future. Thank you for your patience and prayers.
LISTEN TO NEWS FROM CHURCH AT HOME - 020 8016 2207
We have been working to provide a way for those without the internet to hear news and spiritual input from the church, in a way that is simple and accessible for people who are not familiar with the web or with devices. We have been learning how to operate an online platform called Twilio to enable us to do this. We now have a special phone line that can be called at any time to hear news and homilies from the parish which we will update regularly - every day if we can. The number is 020 8016 2207. It is a local number so is not expensive for the listener, and the parish also bears a cost for the system. We already have a list of parishioners without internet in their homes and we will be letting them know about this new service. However, there are others whose details we still do not have. Please can we ask all parishioners to be attentive to this group. Can you let us know of anyone in this situation, and also let them know directly of this service. Please pass on this number to anyone in the community who might like to listen.
SCHOOLS
We hope that many of you were able to watch or listen to the Cardinal's Mass for schools last Thursday. Please can we thank and pray for everyone in our community involved in our schools - children, parents, all staff, governors, priests, and many more.
FOUR SEASONS DRAW
The Spring Four Season Draw will take place after online Mass on Monday morning. Fr Andrew will draw the latest winners and our office will let the winners know. Thank you to everyone who supports the Four Seasons club. Anyone who would still like to enter the Summer Draw is asked to send their £3 for the quarter to the office as soon as possible. If you would like to enter the three remaining draws for 2020 please send £9. If you choose to pay by standing order, please chose a date before the 15th of the month so we can check your payment before the Draw takes place. Any new entrants please send the parish an email to let us know you want a ticket. Entrance is £3 per quarter. Thank you.
