FR DAVID WRITES
Thank you to everyone who either organised or supported our lovely Afternoon Tea last Sunday, especially Janet - please see her message below. Fr Tom visited this week to meet with me and learn some initial information about the parish. Please keep him in your prayers. Congratulations to Maureen and Anton who were married in church on Friday afternoon in a lovely celebration - may God continue to bless them. This is the last weekend with church music before a summer break in August. Thank you to all our musicians and singers - enjoy your well earned rest. Finally, I’m off on holidays tomorrow (Monday). I look forward to seeing you all in the middle of August when I return. God bless you!

PRIESTS
Please pray for Fr Tom Blackburn who will take up his appointment here at the end of August. Fr David will begin his summer break this weekend, after Masses on the afternoon of Sunday 28 July, and will return on Wednesday 15 August.
MASSES
Please note there will be No 8am Masses next week.
BERNADETTE CLUB
Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 1 August at 2pm in the parish centre. Members who haven’t already booked will be able to buy their tickets for our coach trip to Herne Bay, 11 September (£20). We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday afternoon.

PARISH CENTENARY BOOK
Parish Centenary Books are available at the back of church, price £5 each.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2025
Forms will be available from the beginning of September. The programme begins in December and will run on Saturday mornings 10am—11.15am.
BAPTISMS
The sign-up dates for the year 2023-24 have now been completed. A new schedule for sign-up meetings will be published in September for the new school year. Please look out in the newsletter and notice board for details. FYI the first opportunity will be Monday 10th September at 6.30pm in the parish centre. Thank you to Teresa Buffery and Deacon Ian who oversee this.
SECONDARY SCHOOL FORMS
Dates and details for secondary school transfer will be published at the start of September for those who need forms signing by Fr David. Please look out for these dates which will be published in the newsletter.
FINCHLEY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
Open evening is Tuesday 10th September from 5–7.30pm with Headteacher talks at 5pm and 7pm. Parking available on site.
ST MONICA’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL
St Monica’s School is celebrating it’s 70th Anniversary this year. As part of the celebrations there will be an Afternoon Tea open house event on Saturday, 14th September from 12— 4 pm. All families and past staff, pupils and school governors are invited. All welcome - please just turn up!
FAIR TRADE STALL NEWS
We have been sent a letter of thanks from CAFOD for our donation of profits from the Fair Trade Stall. This generous contribution helps Fair Trade farmers in developing countries.
