TODAY: OUR CHRISTMAS MARKET
Please make a special effort to come into the hall today after all Masses for our Christmas Market event to support the parish and especially the work in the church. We have all kinds of fancy goods, gifts, cakes, a grand raffle, and so on. It promises to be a lovely weekend! Thank you to Janet and our volunteers for their time, energy and generosity.
NEXT WEEKEND: ADVENT
Next weekend is the First Sunday of Advent and the beginning of a new year in the Church’s calendar. We will begin Year C in the liturgical cycle, and we will also see the introduction of the new Lectionary for Mass. New Mass books will be available at the back of church for use at Mass.
PRIMARY SCHOOL APPLICATIONS & FORM SIGNING SESSION
Fr David will be available on Saturday 14th December at 5pm in the Parish Centre to sign all forms for admission to primary schools. The Governors of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School are now inviting applications for their reception class from families whose child reaches his/her 4th birthday between 1st Sep 2024 and 31st August 2025. Visits to the school are welcomed, please call the school office to arrange - 020 8361 0767.
THE HOLY SOULS IN NOVEMBER - RIP
The names will remain next to the Paschal Candle, with Masses for the Holy Souls throughout November.
SICK & RETIRED PRIESTS’ COLLECTION
Thank you for your outstanding generosity towards the SRP collection last week, which brought in a wonderful £1,852.46.
YOUTH CHOIR
Our new Youth Choir will make their debut appearance this weekend at the 6pm Vigil Mass. Thank you to the children and parents, and thank you to Deacon Ian for leading them.

The Funeral Mass is on Wednesday 4th December at 10am. May she rest in peace.
TERESA McNAMARA RIP
The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday 28th November at 12pm at New Southgate Cemetery Chapel. May she rest in peace.
MARY O’CONNELL RIP
The Funeral Mass for Mary O’Connell, the mother of Fr Andrew O’Connell, will take place on Thursday 5th December 10.30am at St Anne’s Home (Little Sisters of the Poor) in Stoke Newington. May she rest in peace.
BAPTISM APPLICATIONS
The next Baptism application evening will take place on Monday 2nd December at 6.30pm in the Parish Centre.
PARISH SOUP LUNCH FOR CAFOD
We will hold an Advent Soup Lunch in aid of CAFOD here in the hall on Wednesday 4th December at 12.30pm. Please make a note of the date and do come along.
OUR LADY OF LOURDES PRIMARY SCHOOL - CHRISTMAS FAYRE
Next Saturday, 30th November, 12noon - 3pm. There will be a range of stalls and activities. We would love to see you there!

ALERT: SCAM EMAILS GOING TO PARISHIONERS
Parishioners should be aware that there has been a spate of scam emails recently in the Diocese. The scam email goes to parishioners from someone pretending to be the Parish Priest and asking for personal gifts to be purchased, supposedly from Amazon. If you receive such an email, please be assured that we are not looking for any gifts to be bought for us either from Amazon or anywhere else! Please delete the email, do not reply or press on any links. Please inform the Parish Office.
