FR DAVID WRITES
Well done to our new Confirmation candidates who began their preparation and formation last weekend. They were enrolled to receive the sacrament during the 6pm Mass last Saturday. Please keep them in your prayers. Today we keep the Third Sunday of Lent. The Parable of the Fig Tree is a reminder to us to embrace now, rather than delay, the opportunities that Lent and God’s grace offer us. Next weekend will be Laetare Sunday (the Fourth of Lent) which marks the mid-point of our journey, and it will also be Mothering Sunday. Have a wonderful Lenten week!

CAFOD LENT FAMILY FAST DAY
Thank you for your generous donations to CAFOD last week. We collected a great total of £1,522.93 in support of their important work.

CONFESSIONS IN LENT
As always, confessions are heard in church on Saturday afternoons at 3 pm. Please make sure you come at 3 pm and wait in the queue. Confessions continue either until the queue has gone or till 3.45. Please don’t join the line at 3.45! Thank you.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
During Lent we pray the Stations of the Cross. You can pray the Stations at any time in church. However, the communal celebration lead by the priest will take place every Friday morning in Lent immediately after 10 am Mass. Please join us.

PLANNED GIVING BOXES
The new boxes are now available for next year, starting on Sunday 5th April.  Your numbers do not change, so they are in numerical order rather than alphabetical this year.  Please collect yours as soon as you can.  If anyone has a query or any corrections, please let the Parish Office know by phone, or by email, during the usual opening hours. Thank you for your generosity.
