FR DAVID WRITES
Today is the Feast of Christ the King, the last Sunday in Ordinary Time, and a day of prayer for young people in the Church. Next weekend will be the First Sunday of Advent and the beginning of Year A. Please join us in the hall today for our Christmas Market after all Masses - thank you to Janet and all our kind volunteers. Please also see the message below from Sister Margo who has kindly agreed to help us with our ministry to sick and housebound parishioners as our coordinator: all messages can be delivered to Sister Margo at either Mass or through the parish office. We are very grateful to Sr Margo for her help and ministry. May God bless you all this week.

MINISTRY TO THE SICK & HOUSEBOUND
Sister Margo (Margaret Murphy) RNDM writes: Some of you will know me as Sister Margo and will have seen me around the parish for the last two or three years. I am a member of the Congregation of Our Lady of the Missions and I live in the parish. We have had a community living and serving in this parish for 33 years and over that time, many Sisters have come and gone. Some of you may well remember Sr Aileen who sadly died in 2003. Fr David and Fr Tom have invited me to work with them in ensuring our sick and housebound parishioners have the spiritual help and support they need and would wish for. I will also be available to support our two priests as other needs arise. I can be contacted by phone or email through the parish office.

PARISH CHRISTMAS MARKET
We are looking forward to our Big Christmas Market after all Masses this weekend. Lots of stalls, cakes, bakes, teas and coffees, raffle etc. Please make a special effort to join us in the hall - we look forward to seeing you!

ROSARY
Please join us each weekday morning (Mon-Fri) at 9.30am to pray the Rosary.

CAR PARK INFORMATION: IMPORTANT
Parking is free, without any need for registration, for up to 4 hours maximum. Please don’t leave your vehicle for longer than 4 hours otherwise you will receive a fine, and no cars should be left overnight. On weekdays the car park opens 9am (please note: we will not open before 9am in any circumstances). It closes in the evening either when it is empty or, at the absolute latest, at 10pm. Any questions, please ask us.

SICK AND RETIRED PRIEST COLLECTION FUND
Thank you for so generously supporting the Sick & Retired Priests’ Fund collection last weekend. If you didn’t get the chance to donate, it’s not too late. Envelopes are still available and you can give online at www.rcdow.org.uk/donations You can become a Patron by setting up a regular donation by completing section 4 on the envelope form. Please keep our sick and retired priests in your prayers.

NEXT WEEKEND: ADVENT BEGINS
Let us prepare for the beginning of Advent next weekend. This year, Advent in the Jubilee Year takes on a special significance, especially as it is a season marked by ‘hope’. Next weekend, ‘Walk With Me’ booklets will be available at the back of church to help you through the Advent journey. The booklets will be £1.50 each.

CATHOLIC CHILDREN’S SOCIETY (WESTMINSTER)
Fr David, Chair of the CCS, is collecting gifts to be distributed by the society this Christmas. Gifts should be toys: new and unwrapped. He will be taking them to the society at the beginning of December. Please bring all donations before 1 December.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES PRIMARY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS FAIR
All are invited to Our Lady of Lourdes School’s Christmas Fair on Saturday 29th November, from 1-4pm. There will be a tombola, raffles, a cake sale, and we hope to receive a visit from Father Christmas!

A FESTIVAL OF NINE LESSONS & CAROLS
Our joint carol service will be at St Paul’s CofE Church on Sunday 14 Dec. at 6.30pm.

A CHRISTMAS GIFT THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Please kindly support the Christmas Appeal of the Sisters who live locally in our parish. You can do this by giving virtual gifts that will make a difference to many poor people in their missions overseas. Gift catalogues are at in the church porch.
