FR DAVID WRITES
Lent is underway! Thank you to everyone for a lovely day on Ash Wednesday and a great turn out of all the faithful. As we begin this journey of grace together, let us resolves to rely solely of God’s power and help, and to support one another with love, friendship and prayer. During this time, let us look for the opportunities to enter into prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Today there is a retiring collection for Lenten alms, and next weekend for CAFOD. May God bless us in this special season.

‘WALK WITH ME’ & ‘MY DAY BY DAY’
In the church porch, there are copies of ‘Walk With Me’ - a daily guide to prayer and liturgy for Lent especially for adults. There are also copies of ‘My Day By Day’ for juniors. Please leave an offering in the basket if you can. There are limited copies—first come, first served! Thank you.

LENTEN ALMS
This weekend there will be a retiring collection after all Masses for the Archbishop’s Lenten Appeal which represents the main Lenten Alms collection in the diocese.
Your generous support this Lent will enable the Church to be a visible sign of Christ’s love, within our parishes and among our neighbours. Envelopes are available at the back of the Church - Thank you.

CAFOD LENT FAST DAY
This Friday is the CAFOD Lent Fast Day (Family Fast Day). By fasting and giving what you save, we join in Christ’s compassion and help another family put food on the table. Your donation can help families around the world grow food in difficult conditions – such as on flood-resistant floating gardens or using solar-powered water pumps in times of drought. Collect a CAFOD envelope to help others with your support. There will be a second collection after all Masses next weekend.
