FR DAVID WRITES
Today on the Third Sunday of Lent we hear the Gospel pericope about the encounter between Jesus and the woman by the well. Her encounter with Christ opens her heart and she becomes a messenger of faith to the people at home. After hearing her testimony, they declare that Jesus is ‘truly the Saviour of the world’. The encounter with Christ can also transform us. In Lent, we are invited to place our trust in the Saviour and to draw water from the deep wellspring of salvation.

ARCHBISHOP’S LENTEN APPEAL
Thank you for your generous donations towards the Archbishop’s Lenten Appeal. We collected £1,369, and this money will go towards many important works throughout the diocese. Thank you.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Please join us for the Stations of the Cross this coming Friday morning at 10.25am (immediately after Mass 10am Mass), and every Friday during Lent.

DAILY ROSARY
We pray the Rosary every weekday in church at approx. 9.30am. Why not join us before 10am Mass during Lent?

FAIR TRADE
Next weekend, 14th and 15th, we still have a reasonable number of the Milk Chocolate ‘Real Easter’ (the ones with a 24 page booklet about Easter AD 33, in a box showing a Holy Land spring scene). Eggs kept at last year's price thanks to bulk buying. Due to recent rapid cocoa price rises they cost no more than many non fairly traded ones. Dark chocolate eggs (also ideal for vegans) and ‘egg boxes’ of 6 small ones have arrived and we're generally as fully stocked as possible.

SCOUTS CARDBOARD SLEEPOUT
Well done to our Scout group who raised over £3,100 for Homeless Action in Barnet with their cardboard sleep out last weekend.
