FR DAVID WRITES
In the Gospel today, Jesus looks at the image or likeness of Caesar on a coin. In the final analysis, there is no real separation in our lives between what is God’s and what is ours. When we contemplate our own image, we discover that we are all made in the image and likeness of God. Everything and everyone, including the future, belong to the Lord alone, who made us all. Our faith should transcend and affect every area of our lives, not just what happens here or in the quiet of our own minds. The Gospel is bursting to break out of us so that its wonderful power can convert the world.
