Wisdom 9:13-18
The writer reminds us that no one can know God’s intentions.  It is hard enough to know earthly things, let alone heavenly matters.  Wisdom comes from God alone.

Philemon 9-10. 12-17
In his letter to Philemon, Paul says he is sending Onesimus back, not as a slave but as a brother, and asks Philemon to welcome him and treat him as though he were Paul himself.

Luke  14: 25-33
Jesus speaks of the cost of discipleship.  He likens it to a man about to build a tower, or a king about to go into battle, who must calculate the cost of the venture beforehand.
