STATIONS OF THE CROSS ON GOOD FRIDAY:
If you would like to volunteer to work with our presentation of the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, please leave your details on the list in the church porch.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS:
There will be Stations of the Cross during Lent on Fridays at 10.30 am and 7.30 pm. The evening sessions will be led by Parish groups. All welcome.
EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
Exposition will take place on Sunday 3rd and 17th March between 1 pm and 5.30 pm. Please sign the sheets in the porch so that all the half hour slots are filled.
BERNADETTE CLUB:
The March meeting is on Friday 1st March in the Parish Hall between 2 – 4 pm. All welcome.
PRAYER CARDS FOR THE POPE:
Please take a card from the porch and pray for His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI at the conclusion of his ministry as Bishop of Rome and Supreme Pontiff.
LENT TALKS:
Our series of Lenten Talks on the effects of the Second Vatican Council in the modern world continues on Tuesday 26th February at 7.30 pm in the Small Hall. The theme of this second talk is “Lumen Gentium” (Light of the Nations).
CAFOD LENT FAST DAY:
There will be a collection for CAFOD after all masses this weekend. Please use the Gift Aid form on the envelope if you are a UK taxpayer as this helps CAFOD to benefit by a further 25% on the amount that you give.
TINS & TOILETRIES FOR THE HOMELESS:
During Lent we will be collecting for Homeless in Barnet. Once again, they request that we give toiletries as well as food. Please use the box at the back of the church. Thank you.
CARD SALE:
Mothers Day, Easter and St Patrick’s Day cards will be on sale in the Parish Hall next Sunday, 3rd March, after all morning masses.
CONVENT MASS:
Mass at the Convent, 2, Brookdale at 7.30 pm Thursday 28th February. All welcome.
LENTEN ALMS:
This Lent the Diocese have asked us to support the St John Southworth Fund and Aid to the Church in Need with our Lenten Almsgiving. Both assist those in need, either here at home, or abroad. This year AttCiN will be asked to give both emergency assistance to refugees fleeing the civil war in Syria and help them sustain their Faith in the long term. Please place your donation in the box in the porch marked Lenten Alms. Thank you.
SATURDAY CLUB:
This gathering takes place next Saturday March 2nd from 3 pm until 5 pm in the Big Hall.
BAPTISM APPLICATION:
The next course begins on Monday 4th March, when you are invited to come to the Parish Hall between 7 – 8 pm to complete an application form.
