HARVEST FAST DAY FRIDAY 2nd OCTOBER:
Your support and donations this Harvest Fast Day will enable our partners to work with people across the world to empower them to become self-sufficient despite living in the most difficult of conditions. Additionally at this time, your donations will be used to support those affected by the refugee crisis in Europe and the Middle East.  There will be a collection after all Masses next weekend and there are envelopes available at the back of the Church today for you to Gift Aid your donations if you are UK taxpayers – thank you. 

SECONDARY SCHOOL PRIEST REFERENCE FORM SIGNINGS:

Parents who handed in a self-assessment form in July are invited to sign up for an appointment for secondary school Priest reference signings on Monday 4th October.  Please see the list in the Paper Shop today.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2016:
Parents who completed the application form but have not signed up for an appointment to meet the Priest and Catechist should contact the Office on Monday for an appointment.

MARRIAGE COURSE VOLUNTEERS:

Unfortunately we have had no response yet for this course.  Any couple or Individual who can help on a twice year basis with the Marriage course please contact the Parish Office for more details.

DIOCESCAN COLLECTION:
Thank you for your generosity last weekend.  A total of £580 was raised for the Agency for Evangelisation, the Catholic Youth Service and Racial Justice.

HOLY ROSARY:
The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary.
“The rosary offers spiritual help for our souls and for spreading love, forgiveness and brotherhood everywhere. Don’t forget to pray it, because it does good for the heart, for the soul, for all of life.”(Pope Francis)  Please take a Rosary Card from the back of the church today.

COUNTING ROTA:

Team 3 are counting today and Team 4 on Sunday 4th October.  Thank you all very much.

BERNADETTE CLUB:
The Club meets for the October gathering on Friday 2nd at 2 pm in the Parish Hall.  New members welcome.

PENNIES FOR PEACE:

If you collect your odd change for Pax Christi, please bring your jars next Sunday.

JEWELLERY SALE:

The Brownies will be holding a jewellery sale on 11th October after all morning Masses.  All proceeds will be donated to SAR

PLANNED GIVING SCHEME:
It would be a great help to the parish if you could donate your offerings each week through the Planned Giving Envelope Scheme or by Standing Order. If you are a UK Taxpayer you could ‘Gift Aid’ your donation – the parish would receive 25% back from HMRC at no cost to you.  Application forms are in the porch at the back of the church. Thank you.
