A Lectio Divina based on the Gospel of each Sunday of Lent.

The fig tree (Lk 13: 1-9).

The Prodigal Son (Lk 15: 1-3, 11-32).
• Tuesday, Mar 15th 7.30 pm:
A woman caught in adultery (Jn 8: 1-11).
CHURCHES TOGETHER LENT TALKS:
These will take place on Thursdays until the 17th March at St Peter’s Bourne, Oakleigh Park South, at 7.15 pm.
LENTEN COLLECTION FOR HOMELESS ACTION IN BARNET:
Please leave your tins/toiletries in the box at the back of the Church.
LENT FAST DAY:
A Very Big Thank You for your generosity last weekend. An amazing total of £2,120 was collected for CAFOD.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
The Parents meeting is on Tuesday at 8 pm. This is a very important meeting to attend. The Children’s session will be a two hour session on Saturday at 10 am, after which they will receive the Sacrament of First Confession. Mass for the family will be on the Sunday at 11.15 am.
CONFIRMATION 2016:
Registration evening is on Monday 29th February. Please turn up at your appointed time with completed forms.
PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES:
30th Sept – 7th Oct 2016:
The cost of the Pilgrimage will be approximately £700 including flights, accommodation and meals. If you would like to go please indicate your interest on the list in the Church Porch.
WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER:
Takes place on Friday 4th March at All Saints, Oakleigh Road North N20 at 10.30 am.
CONFESSIONS:
There will be visiting Priests hearing Confessions here on Friday 4th March, 11 am – 12 noon, and Saturday 5th March, 5 pm – 6 pm.
BERNADETTE CLUB:
The March gathering is on Friday 4th at 2 pm in the Parish Hall. New members always welcome.
SAFETY IN THE PARISH HALL:
Following an incident last Sunday morning, where a parishioner was injured and had to attend hospital, we ask parents to supervise their children in the Parish Hall, especially where older people and hot liquids are present. Thank you.
TERESA McNAMARA RIP:
Reception of the Body is on Wednesday 2nd March at 7 pm followed by the Requiem Mass on 3rd at 10 am.
YEAR OF MERCY DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM: Saturday 9th July.
We will organise a coach to take parishioners to the Pilgrimage from here if we have enough people interested. Please sign the list at the back of the Church if you would like to attend.
CARDINAL’S MASS OF THANKSGIVING FOR THE SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY:
Westminster Cathedral
Saturday 14th May, at 3 pm.
Any couple in the Diocese, celebrating their 10th, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th (and 60+) wedding anniversary of Catholic marriage in 2016 is welcome. Please let the Office have your details: husband and wife’s names, wedding date, full postal address and email (or telephone number, if no email) by the 7th March.
LENTEN ALMS APPEAL – CARITAS WESTMINSTER:
Lent is a time for prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Our Lenten Alms Appeal will be in support of Caritas Westminster, which works throughout London and Herts enabling Parishes to find practical solutions that address a variety of social needs.
