LENT 2017:
Lent offers us an opportunity to deepen the meaning and value of our Christian lives. In the Lenten period the Church makes it her duty to propose some specific tasks that accompany the faithful in this process of interior renewal: these are prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

DEVOTIONS FOR LENT
STATIONS OF THE CROSS:

Every Friday after the 10 am Mass and at 7.30 pm. This Friday’s stations of the cross will be led by the Saturday Morning Club.

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
Monday – Friday 6.45 am – 7.45 am
Sunday 26th March 1.30 – 5.30 pm.

LENTEN COLLECTION FOR THE HOMELESS:
We will be collecting tins and toiletries during Lent for Barnet Homeless Action. Please leave any donations in the box at the back of the Church – thank you.

AFTERNOON TEA GROUP:
The next tea will take place Sunday 9th April from 3 pm.  Please take a leaflet from the back of the Church for further details or contact the Parish Office.

PAPER SHOP:
Confirmation, Communion and Easter cards all available from the Paper Shop, which you will find on your left as you enter the Parish Hall.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY:
A Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers.  Children – make sure you spoil your mum today and tell her how much she means to you!  And tidy your room!

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT:
If would like to talk to one of our volunteers please fill out a form at the back of the Church and hand it in to the Parish Office.

HELPING IN THE PAPER SHOP:
We are still looking for volunteers to help in the Paper Shop on Saturday evenings from 6.15 pm and Sunday mornings from 8.15 am.  If you would like to help, please call the Parish Office – thank you.

EASTER PLAY:
Our Lady of Lourdes school Easter performance will take place on Thursday 30th March at 2 pm in the church – All welcome.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION REHEARSALS:
Parents are asked to note that the rehearsal times have been changed – they will now take place on Friday 5th May: at 5.20 pm for the 11.30 am group and at 6.20 pm for the 2.30 pm group.

PENNIES FOR PEACE:
We collect your pennies for Pax Christi, an organization that works for peace, justice and reconciliation through non-violent means.  You can find out more at www.paxchristi.org.uk.
Please bring your ‘Pennies’ next weekend and leave in the ‘Pax Christi’ Basket on the Sanctuary – Thank you.

FAIR TRADE:
The Fair Trade stall is open after every Mass today in the Parish Hall.

CARDINAL’S APPEAL:
A very big thank you for your generosity last weekend.  A total of £1,145 was collected.  If you would still like to make a donation, there are envelopes available at the back of the church.  Funds raised will be used to fund outreach programmes in evangelisation of youth; marriage and family life; and our role in making a civil society.  Thank you.
