PRAY FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS:
Please join the parish Aid to the Church in Need Group to pray the rosary for persecuted Christians throughout the world every Sunday at 10.45 am in Our Lady's Chapel in front of the Blessed Sacrament. All are welcome.
FR DAVID WRITES:
Welcome to Ian Coleman who will be introduced at the Sunday evening Mass this weekend. Ian is a candidate preparing to be ordained as a Permanent Deacon. A Permanent Deacon is a man who is ordained to assist the priests of a parish and work with and among the faithful to help provide for their spiritual, liturgical and pastoral needs. Ian lives nearby in North London and works at a church in London as a Director of Music. Ian will be joining us here at Our Lady of Lourdes as part of his programme of formation. He will mainly be joining us at the Sunday 6.30 pm Mass but will have some other pastoral work in due course. I am sure we will all welcome him and look forward to accompanying him in his journey.
WEEKEND OPENING TIMES:
Please note that for security reasons, from now on the church will open on Saturdays and Sundays at 7.30 am. Please do not turn up earlier than this time as you will find the church closed.
CONVENT MASS:
This Mass will take place at the Convent, 2, Brookdale, on Thursday, 25th January at 7.30 pm.
THE JANUARY SALE:
The Sale will take place in the Parish Hall this weekend. Please do come along, find a bargain and support the Parish. This year money raised will be for new altar servers albs. Thank you all – Janet Butterworth
AGNES LYONS RIP:
The Requiem will take place on Monday, 22nd January, at 10 am.
DOMINICO MASCIO RIP:
The funeral will take place on Monday 29th January at 10 am.
OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL:
Our Primary school has secured a slot in Asda’s (Southgate) green token scheme, giving the school the chance to win £500 towards much needed resources. So if you are in Asda please ask your cashier for some green tokens and drop them in the ‘Our Lady of Lourdes’ slot.
