WELCOME BISHOP SHERRINGTON:
This weekend we welcome Bishop John Sherrington as he visits our parish. The visit began with a wonderful school Mass on Thursday. Thank you to all involved.

FR ANDREW BOWDEN:
Welcome to Fr Andrew who begins his appointment this weekend as our new assistant priest.

A FOND FAREWELL:
I would like to publicly thank our housekeeper, Kathy Miles, who after 23 years of service in the Presbytery is preparing to retire to Ireland. She has looked after many priests and visitors with such kindness and great culinary skill!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS ELF:
Thanks to so many kind parishioners in responding to this special project. I know many others would also have liked to have helped – thank you to you too!

‘FLOWER POWER’
Our Monday Group for vulnerable adults will be holding its first sale this Sunday after all Masses in the Parish Hall.  Unique original dry flower pieces for sale.  All proceeds go towards the group.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
Parents are reminded of their meeting on Tuesday at 8 pm. Children’s session on Saturday at 10 am and Family Mass on Sunday at 11.15 am.

CARDBOARD CITY:
30 of our Scouts are doing a sponsored Cardboard Box Sleep Out on our patio this weekend, making their own shelters from cardboard boxes, newspaper and plastic bags.  They are raising money for Homeless Action in Barnet, catering for Barnet’s most vulnerable people. In a standard week, around 250 people will seek support from HAB.

PLANNED GIVING ENVELOPES:
New envelopes available (in the Small Hall) for four months only as we will be moving our start date to April from next year.  If you offer Gift Aid you will find a letter in your box asking you to confirm/ update your details for the Tax Office.

JAMES O’DONNELL RIP:
The Reception of the body takes place on Thursday, 5th December, at 6.30 pm.  The Requiem Mass follows on Thursday, 6th at 10 am.

BAPTISM APPLICATIONS:
The December course begins on Monday, 3rd, when you are invited to attend the Parish Centre between 7 – 8 pm.

THE CHRISTMAS FAIRTRADE STALL:
Your last Stall before Christmas takes place next weekend at the usual times, and will feature a Hamper Raffle!!

LONDON MARATHON:

FOUR SEASONS DRAW:
The Four Seasons Draw is relaunched with a Grand Draw on Sunday 16th December for 2018, followed by regular draws from the first quarter of 2019.  If you are a member, and would like to continue, please send in anything owing for 2018 (£3/quarter) before Friday 15th December.  New member forms available in the paper shop.  Thank you to all who have responded so far.

CHRISTMAS FLOWER COLLECTION:
There will be a collection next weekend for flowers to decorate the church this Christmas.
