FR DAVID ON THE CHRISTMAS SEASON:
Today is the Feast of the Lord's Baptism which marks the formal end of the Christmas season. Liturgically, however, the Christmas mystery reaches forward towards the Feast of Candlemas on 2 February. I know that some of you keep your cribs out till then. This is an opportunity for the priests once again to send you all Christmas blessings and thanks for your gifts and cards. Tomorrow we begin the season of Ordinary Time until the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday, 6 March.

BAPTISM COURSE:
The second part of the course will be on 14th January at 7.30 pm in the Small Hall.

CONFIRMATION CATECHISTS MEETING:
There is a meeting on Tuesday, 22nd January at 7.30 pm for our Confirmation catechists.  Anyone who is interested in joining the team is also welcome to come along.

MASS FOR OUR LADY OF LOURDES:
On 9th February at 2 pm in Westminster Cathedral, and will include the Sacrament of the Sick.  All are welcome and if anyone would like to attend in a wheelchair they are asked to let us know, so that the Cathedral can arrange a space for the chair.

STREETS AHEAD RWANDA:
The craft day raised £1,215.80 and the concert £780 both for Streets Ahead Rwanda. This goes towards daily running costs of the centres, food, clothing etc. and is greatly appreciated.

The Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday 22nd January at 10 am.

ALMA CLEUR RIP:
Alma’s Requiem will take place on Wednesday 23rd January at 10 am.  May she rest in peace.

AIDAN CLERKIN RIP:
The body will be received into the church on Thursday, 24th January at 6 pm, and the Requiem will follow on Friday 25th at 10 am.  May he rest in peace.

New rotas are available for collection from the Paper Shop today.

JANUARY SALE 2019:
Our Sixteenth January Sale will take place in the Parish Hall on 19th/20th January after the 6.30 pm Mass and after all Sunday morning Masses. Offers of gifts, DVDs, toiletries, books, toys and raffle prizes will be most welcome, also cakes on the day.  Items for sale can be left in the Parish Office during opening times or in the Paper Shop during weekend Mass times.  Do please come along and help support the Parish, find a bargain and chat with friends. We are hoping to purchase a new thurible with some of the proceeds!
