THIS WEEK IS THE OCTAVE OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY:
As the name suggests, this is a time of prayer when we unite our own intentions with those of the Lord Jesus who, before his death and resurrection, prayed for the unity of his followers. Children from our primary school (Year 1 and Year 4) will join us at 10 am Mass this Thursday morning to lead us in a special Mass for unity and reconciliation. The Mass will be followed by Benediction.
FORTHCOMING CELEBRATIONS:
Saturday, 2nd February, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (Candlemas), the 10 am Mass will include the blessing of candles.
Monday, 4th February, the 10 am Mass, will be followed by St Blaise's blessing on throats. (NB Throats will not be blessed on the Sunday).
Monday, 11th February, 10 am Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes (including the primary school) followed by tea, coffee and cakes in the church hall for parishioners.

There is a meeting on Sunday, 27th January at 2 pm for the RCIA candidates who have signed up for the course.

The Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday 22nd January at 10 am. May she rest in peace.
ALMA CLEUR RIP:
Alma’s Requiem will take place on Wednesday 23rd January at 10 am. May she rest in peace.
AIDAN CLERKIN RIP:
The body will be received into the church on Thursday, 24th January at 6 pm, and the Requiem will follow on Friday 25th at 10 am. May he rest in peace.
EILEEN KELLY RIP:
The Requiem Mass will take place on Friday 1st February at10am.. May she rest in peace.

DIOCESAN LOURDES MASS:
On 9th February at 2 pm in Westminster Cathedral, and will include the Sacrament of the Sick. All are welcome and if anyone would like to attend in a wheelchair they are asked to let us know, so that the Cathedral
