FR THOMAS PARAYADYIL:
At the end of March Fr Thomas will return to India. and a special Mass to say thank you and goodbye will take place on Friday 22nd March at 10 am followed by the presentation with refreshments in the Parish Hall.  Fr David.

LAUDATO SI LENT GROUP:
'Laudato Si' is Pope Francis's encyclical on the care of the environment.  During Lent, there will be an opportunity to explore some of the themes in a group led by Cafod.  There are three sessions:  Wednesdays  20th, 27th March & 3rd April at 7 pm in the Small Hall.  Materials provided – all welcome.

CONFIRMATION COURSE:
The next session of this year’s course is on Saturday, 23rd March at 4.50 pm in the Parish Hall.

ROSA LEASA’S FLOWERS:
Next weekend there will be a sale in the Parish Hall with flowers made by the Monday group for vulnerable adults.  Why not grab a bargain for Mother’s Day?

LOCAL FUN RUN:

PLANNED GIVING BOXES:
New planned Giving Boxes for April are now ready for collection from the Small Hall after Mass.  All Boxes are in alphabetical order.

CAKE SALE FOR SCHOOLS IN LUANDA:
Honour, a pupil at St Michael’s School, is holding a cake sale on Sunday 31st March after all morning masses, in order to raise money to support schools in Luanda, where she will be teaching in the summer. This is part of St Michael’s annual trip to Luanda.  Students are asked to raise funds to cover travel costs and the expenses of the equipment; as well as donations to the schools as part of the visit.  There will be lots of delicious homemade cakes, so please come along if you can.

CAN YOU HELP IN OUR PARISH?
We are currently seeking volunteers for a number of our activities. Please contact the Parish Office or speak to one of the priests if you could help with any of the following which are mostly on a rota and don’t need much instruction: cleaning the church on Monday mornings, serving tea/coffee on Sunday mornings, manning the Paper Shop on Sundays.  We would also like to recruit some people for liturgical ministries which do require some formation and work with the priests before you can begin - please also speak to one of the parish team.  Thank you.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS:
Stations will take place each Friday during Lent (except 22nd), after the
10 am Mass and will be led by a priest.  The faithful are always welcome to pray the Way of the Cross individually or privately in the church at other times.


FAIR TRADE EASTER EGGS:
Orders are ready to collect after every Mass next weekend, 23rd/24th March or 13th/14th April.  If you ordered 4 dark, one milk and one pink egg after the Sunday 6.30 pm Mass, we don’t have your name, so please call Michael on 07723 376616.

HOMELESS ACTION IN BARNET:
This Lent we are asking for food, tins and toiletries (no clothing, hats, socks etc). Thank you.

CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY:
Through CAFOD’s global Church network - one of the largest aid networks in the world – your support can reach to the ends of the earth.
Please collect your Fast Day envelope from church this week and give whatever you can.  You are also asked to complete the Gift Aid form if you are a tax payer.  This gives CAFOD an extra 25% of the amount you donate, without any cost to yourself!!

FOUR SEASONS DRAW:
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the draw will now take place next Sunday, 24th March, after the
9.45 am Mass in the Parish Hall.  

PENNIES FOR PEACE:
If you collect pennies for Pax Christi, please bring them next Sunday for the monthly collection.  In the past year we have raised £445.76 for Pax Christi, so thank you all very much.
