FR DAVID WRITES
Today is the Third Sunday of Easter. In the Gospel we hear about the encounter between the fishermen disciples and the Risen Jesus. Even today, the power of the Risen Lord and the joy of the Gospel make possible such a huge catch of fish! The Good News continues to reach to the very ends of the earth. Well done to everyone for the First Communion celebrations yesterday. I was so sad to miss the Masses due to my being unwell. Thank you also to Frs. Jerome and Johnson who have had to cover for me both during my trip and now again as I am unwell—I owe them! And thank you to Bishop John and Fr Mark who are also visiting today to help me out. I send you all renewed Easter greetings.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY
Tomorrow is Bank Holiday Monday. Mass is at 10am only. The office will be closed all day, and the church will close immediately after Mass.

NEXT SUNDAY: GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY
Next Sunday is the day we pray for priests and for vocations to the priesthood and the consecrated life. The collection for the Priest Training Fund will take place next weekend. This fund pays for the priestly formation of seminarians. Envelopes are at the back of church if you would like to use Gift Aid. Our parish will have one new seminarian heading off to studies in September but we are always looking for more vocations.

CONGRATULATIONS
To all the children of the Parish who received the First Holy Communion on Saturday.  It was a wonderful celebration. A big thank you to all the catechists who helped prepare the children for this joyous and holy sacrament.

CONFIRMATION 2022
The next meeting for Candidates is on Saturday 7th May at 4.50pm; Mass at 6pm.

DO YOU ENJOY SINGING?
The choir at the 10 am Mass would like to welcome new members. Being able to read music would be an advantage, but is not a necessity. Please let the Parish Office have your details if you would like to know more.

REPAIRS & RENEWALS
Much needed repair work has been taking place this week to the roofs of the hall, the church porch, and the roof over the sanctuary in the church.

LIVESTREAM
Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi problems are more complicated than we thought, and we are going to renew the entire internet system. Please be patient as this may take a little longer than initially anticipated. However, Fr David would like to repeat his invitation, encouraging those who are able to, to come to church in person. Once fixed, the live feed should now revert to principally being a resource for the housebound.

PAPER SHOP ROTAS
There are new paper shop rotas in the shop today. Thank you for your support!
