FR DAVID WRITES
Welcome back to everyone after the summer holidays. This week is the start of term for many of our children, young people and parishioners who study or work in schools and colleges. We send you all our best wishes and prayers for the new term and the new academic year.  We also welcome back, this morning, our choirs and musicians after their summer break.

PARISH CENTRE
The Parish Centre and the shop are now open again. In the Parish Centre, we have repaired the leaking roofs, repainted everywhere, fixed the cupboards in the kitchen, polished the floors and fixed the electrics. The hall and centre were in bad need of redecoration after many years and now everything is looking good for the centenary. Please God, the next project will be to do some much needed upgrades and redecoration inside the church itself. Thank you to everyone for continuing to support the parish financially which means we are able to keep on top of the never-ending list of repairs and renewals in such a big complex. Welcome back to parish and community groups who use these facilities.

ORGAN STOPS—SAVING THE KING OF INSTRUMENTS
A documentary feature film about the crisis facing Britain’s pipe organs.
Thursday 15th September, 7:45pm
Our Lady & St George, London Road, Enfield Town, EN2 6DS
We are delighted to bring you this important film about the tragic loss of pipe organs from this country. James Dawson is an award-winning film maker with a love of pipe organs. To highlight the plight facing so many provincial pipe organs, he self-funded a documentary film, Organ Stops. The film premiered at Brooklyn Film Festival in New York City in June 2021, and was later shown at New Haven Doc Fest, Connecticut, in August. James Dawson and organ builder Martin Renshaw will present a live-screening of the film, after which there will be an opportunity for questions.
