SPIRITAN APPEAL
This year the Diocesan Mission Appeal is for the Holy Ghost Fathers (Spiritans). This is the missionary congregation to which Fr Jerome belongs. He and Fr Terkura Igbe CSSp will be making the appeal at all Masses today. Please be as generous as you can!
A CONCERT FOR ST CECILIA’S DAY
To celebrate the patron saint of music, and mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ralph Vaughan Williams, there will be a short concert in church on Tuesday 22nd November 2022 at 7pm. All are welcome - admission is free.

If you are in Year 9 or above and would like to join the Confirmation programme please sign the sheet in the church porch and collect an application form and programme. Forms to be returned to the presbytery letter box by 4th December.
OUR LADY OF LOURDES PRIMARY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS FAIR
Saturday 3rd December 12 noon—3pm. It’s been a while but our Christmas fair is back with a range of stalls, Santa’s Grotto, home-cooked food, arts and crafts, raffle and more. We would love to see you there!
CHRISTMAS WITH CHRIST PROJECT
You are invited to a Charity Tea at Our Lady of Lourdes on 3rd of December after the 4pm and 6pm Mass. Tickets are £7 and includes fresh vegetable soup, bread, a slice of cake and a soft/hot drink. All money raised will be sent to buy gifts and snacks for children during Christmas time at some of the most remote communities in Bahia (Brazil) and Cancao Nova in Mozambique (Africa). Your generous contribution will bring a smile to many needy children. Tickets will be available at the end of Mass from Monica or at the Parish Office during opening hours.

CATHOLIC CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS GIFT APPEAL
This year, we will be collecting new toys (not second hand please) for children facing a Christmas without presents on behalf of the Catholic Children’s Society of Westminster. Please see the poster in the church porch for ideas of gifts. Presents can be left (unwrapped) in the Parish Office during opening hours or in the Small Hall after weekend Masses. The last day to bring any gifts will be Sunday morning, 4 December. Thank you in advance for your help and generosity.
AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED ‘RED WEDNESDAY’: 23 NOVEMBER
Red Wednesday is a day of prayer and solidarity for persecuted Christians throughout the world. Please join ACN to break the silence on the persecution of Christians and to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Christ who do not enjoy the same freedoms we have. We will pray at the 10 am Mass on Wednesday 23 November.
You could also:
Pray the rosary after the 10 am Mass on Sundays in the church.
Join ACN at the Ukrainian Catholic Church for Mass on Wednesday 23rd at 5 pm.
Wear red on Red Wednesday to raise awareness amongst those you meet.

OUR CHRISTMAS MARKET
This will take place in the Parish Hall on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November after all Masses. We already have a lovely selection of gifts as well as a big Christmas raffle. Cakes on the day will be much appreciated. Do come along for your Christmas bargains. All money raised will go towards the Parish Centenary Church decoration. Janet Butterworth.
