FR DAVID WRITES: FRIDAY—FEAST DAY
This coming Friday we are keeping our patronal feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. This will be almost one hundred years since the arrival of Fr Sunn and the start of the mission here in New Southgate. Please note that there is no 8am Mass.  Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School will be present at the 10am Mass. The special Mass for the parish will be at 7pm in the evening, followed by a reception. That evening, we will welcome Mgr Paul McGinn. The Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is also the World Day of Prayer for the Sick. Please join us and make every effort to come for the special occasion. We send you every blessing and good wish for the week ahead.

FUNDRAISING FOR THE CENTENARY DURING 2023
Many thanks to those who have already responded to our fundraising call for the centenary works. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. We have already had a number of kind and anonymous donations, but we have further to go. Can you help the parish by making a donation, either now or during this year? If so, please mark any donation clearly, either online or in written form, for the ‘Building Fund’. (Please make cheques payable to Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church). As ever, if we are also able to collect the tax refund on donations from UK taxpayers (Gift Aid), this is always very valuable and comes at no extra expense to you. You can ask Fr David or at the office about this if you are unsure.

HATTERS’ CAKE SALE - WEEKEND 4th/5th FEBRUARY
There will be a cake sale after all Masses on this weekend to help raise funds for the Hatters Explorer Scout Unit. Please pop into the Parish Hall after Mass to support the group and enjoy a delicious treat!

SUNDAY MORNING TEA AND COFFEE
Teas and coffees are served in the Parish Hall after the first three Masses on Sunday mornings.  All are welcome to come in and chat with your fellow parishioners.
