OCTOBER
October is month of the Holy Rosary. You can join the rosary here every weekday at 9.30am, before 10am Mass. A plenary indulgence may be obtained, under the usual conditions, by reciting five decades of the Rosary in church, as a family at home, or in general whenever several persons have gathered for a good purpose; in every other circumstance, a partial indulgence may be gained.

NOVEMBER: MASSES & PRAYERS FOR THE HOLY SOULS RIP
November is the month of the Holy Souls. Prayer sheets and envelopes are available in the church porch. Please take one of each and return to the letter box with the names of your departed loved ones to be included in our prayers for the Holy Souls in November. Please include an offering if you can as many of the Masses in November are given over to Holy Souls and replace a Mass when the priest would otherwise receive a stipend. Thank you.

FR DAVID WRITES

FR JEROME
Fr Jerome is looking forward to coming back here for a special ‘Farewell Mass’ on Saturday 11 November at 11.30am. This will be followed by a reception in the church hall. We would like to give Fr Jerome a presentation. A collection for this will be taken at all Masses next weekend.

AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED - RED WEDNESDAY
The annual Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) "Red Wednesday" will take place on Wednesday 22nd November this year.  In the first of a line up of events, all are welcome to join Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme of Maiduguri, launching ACN's #Red Wednesday Rosary campaign at St Patrick's Church in Soho Square next Sunday, 22nd October, at 2.30pm.  Maiduguri Diocese in northern Nigeria has been at the epicentre of extremist violence targeting Christians and other minorities. Bishop Oliver received a vision in which Our Lord called on the world to pray the Rosary in the struggle to overcome persecution, mass displacement, extreme poverty and hunger. Join ACN in person to pray for persecuted Christians in Africa and around the world. Further information can be found at https://acnuk.org/event/rw-rosary-campaign-launch/
