On Wednesday we began our Lenten journey, and today is the First Sunday in Lent when we hear about Jesus who is victorious in the wilderness. Let us pray for each other in this Lenten journey, relying solely on God’s grace in our own time of need. Lent orientates us towards the coming celebration of Christ’s victory over sin and death at Holy Week and Easter. We hope you all had a good half-term holiday.
RITE OF ELECTION
This weekend, the Rite of Election takes place at Westminster Cathedral. Please pray for all those preparing to be received into the Church at Easter, especially our own candidates in the parish RCIA.
RCIA (JOURNEY IN FAITH)
The next session will take place on Monday 19th February at 7.30pm.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
There will be Stations of the Cross every Friday morning after 10 am Mass during Lent.

Would you like a daily prayer reflection for every day in Lent? ‘Walk with Me’ Lent booklets are available in the paper shop, price £1 each.
CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY—THIS FRIDAY, 23 FEBRUARY
In the spirit of sharing this Lent we are asked to sacrifice something: a meal, a treat even the young can join in. The money saved is then given to CAFOD to help people who are suffering through war, famine displacement etc. It will not cost us extra but will make a huge difference. Envelopes can be found at the back of the church for your offerings. Thank you.

Come along to the 22nd Southgate Scouts’ Quiz Night on Friday 23rd February 2024 in the Parish Hall. Starts 7.45pm and finishes at 9.45pm.
