FR DAVID WRITES
As well as being the Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time, today is also the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, Patroness of the Parish. A very happy feast to you all in this 101st year of our parish. The Feast will be marked this weekend at the 9.45 am Mass. Please don’t forget that this Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. There will be more information about Lent next weekend. There are ‘Walk with Me’ Lent booklets available to buy in the shop, which begin on Ash Wednesday. We send best wishes to everyone on half-term holidays this week.
LENT: ASH WEDNESDAY
Masses here, with distribution of ashes, will be at 8 am, 10 am, and 7 pm. Please note that ashes will not be given outside of Mass. Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence. The car park will be open for all Masses on Wednesday.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
There will be Stations of the Cross every Friday morning after the 10 am Mass in Lent, starting this Friday 16th March.
BAPTISM SIGN-UP
The next Baptism sign-up will take place on Monday 4th March at 6.30pm.
PLANNED GIVING ENVELOPES
The new envelopes will be distributed in April. If you do not require your planned giving envelopes anymore or have a change in circumstances, e.g. you have moved house, or are no longer paying tax, please let the Parish Office know. If you would like to join the planned giving scheme please collect an application form from the church porch. You can use these forms to set up a Standing Order or join the Gift Aid scheme. Standing Order is the best way to give to the parish as it reduces cash handling on the premises. Thank you to everyone for your continuing generosity.
ADVANCED NOTICE: CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY IN LENT
The Lenten CAFOD Family Fast Day will take place on Friday 23 February, and the collection will be taken at all Masses here on the weekend of 24/25 February.

"REAL EASTER" Chocolate Fair Trade Eggs Co. may sell all its stock soon due to this year's early Easter. Please order them next weekend at the Fair Trade stall at all main masses Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th to avoid disappointment.

FREE COMPUTER COACHING FOR OVER 60s
Local charity, Generation Exchange in partnership with St Anne’s Catholic High School for Girls run a running a computer project whereby young volunteers from the school provide 1:1 IT support to older people. New project starting on Tuesday 20th February at 11.30am-13.00pm at the Upper School in Palmers Green for 10 sessions.
