SEDE VACANTE
Thank you to everyone who joined in our special Mass here on Tuesday evening as we prayed for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis. For now, we continue the nine days of prayer and mourning for the late Pope until Monday. As announced, once the novendiales are over, the College of Cardinals will enter into the conclave on Wednesday in order to elect a new pope. The Mass before the conclave will be celebrated by the cardinals in St Peter’s Basilica on Wednesday morning at 9 am (London time). Our Mass here on Wednesday at 10 am will be our own opportunity to pray to the Holy Spirit for the election of the new pope. Please join us if you can. The conclave itself will begin on Wednesday afternoon at 3 pm BST. It is essential that we all keep the cardinals in our prayers as they begin this important mission.
