ALL SAINTS
Today we begin November with the solemnity of All Saints. This beautiful feast is a celebration of the peace and light of God’s heavenly city, and of the glory of all the saints in the presence of the Lord. This weekend in Rome, Pope Leo XIV will declare St John Henry Newman to be a Doctor of the Church. May St John Henry and all the saints pray for us on our journey towards the splendour of heaven.
FR TOM WRITES
Thank you to everyone who has returned their lists of the faithful departed, we have now compiled our Book of Remembrance for November. The names will remain next to the Paschal Candle in church during this month, as we celebrate Masses for the Holy Souls and pray for all our loved ones who have died. May they rest in peace.

The preparations for this year’s Christmas Market are well in hand. It will take place on 22nd/23rd November after all Masses. We would welcome any books, gifts etc. Homemade cakes will be especially welcome on the day. Last year’s cake stall broke all records so a very big thank you in advance. Proceeds from the sale will help to pay for new hymn books. Looking forward to seeing you all over the weekend. Thank you. Janet Butterworth
