FR DAVID WRITES
Welcome back to Fr Tom after his short break, and welcome to you all to church this weekend. On Tuesday evening at 7 pm we have our Special Mass to celebrate the parish feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The school Mass will be on Wednesday morning at 10 am. To celebrate the patronal feast of the parish is a great grace and an important day in our shared life together. Please join us in church and afterwards in the hall. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the Feasts of Candlemas and St Blaise this past week. 


ADVANCE NOTICE: LENT
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday which will be Wednesday 18 February (a week on Wednesday). Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence. Masses with the distribution of ashes will be celebrated here at 8am, 10am, and 7pm. The car park will be open and available for all Masses. 

ARCHBISHOP MOTH
On Friday, there will be a celebration of Vespers at 5.30pm in Westminster Cathedral to welcome our new archbishop. Sisters Mary and Margo will represent us, but it is also possible for others to attend as the majority of the cathedral will be accessible without a ticket. On Saturday morning at 12 noon, the Installation Mass will be celebrated in the cathedral. Entrance will be by ticket only, but both the Vespers and the Mass will be livestreamed via Westminster Cathedral website. Please pray for the new archbishop as he prepares for his solemn installation.

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES
This year, we will celebrate our parish patronal feast with a special Mass on the evening of Tuesday 10 February at 7 pm. This will be followed by a parish social event in the hall. Please make a note of the date and be sure to join us!

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2026
The next meeting for parents will take place on Tuesday 24 February at 7pm. The children’s session will be on Saturday 28th February 10am– 11.15am. The Family Mass will at 11.15am on Sunday 1 March.

CONFIRMATION 2026
The next meeting for candidates will take place on Saturday 28th February at 4.15pm-5.30pm, followed by Mass at 6pm.  

BAPTISM
The next Baptism application will take place this Tuesday 10th February at 6.30pm in the Parish Centre. 

FUNERALS
The Funeral Mass for John Cook will take place here on Thursday 12th February at 10 am. The Funeral Mass for Christopher Freeman will be celebrated here on Thursday 19 February at 10am. May they rest in peace. 

OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL
The Governors at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School are now accepting applications for their school nursery.  Children are welcome to attend from the day they turn 3 years old and places are available for morning sessions (8.45am to 11.45am), afternoon sessions (12.15pm to 3.15pm), full school days (9am to 3.15pm) or extended days (8am to 6pm. )  Visits to the school are welcomed, please call the school for more information - 020 8361 0767.  

PASSION PLAY AT ST MONICA’S PARISH
St Monica’s, Palmers Green, are delighted to welcome RISE Theatre, a professional Christian theatre company, who will be performing their Passion Play in the Church Large Hall on Wednesday 11 March at 7pm. Come and experience the Gospel, particularly the events of Holy Week. Performance lasts approximately 60 minutes and is suitable for adults and children 11+.
