FR TOM WRITES
This week there has been some media coverage of the ‘September Reset’, a phrase describing how some people see the beginning of the new academic year as an opportunity to make resolutions and re-establish good routines. For Christians, Lent is traditionally a time for this kind of renewal, but we do not have to wait until spring to begin again if we have let some good practices slip over the summer. Perhaps this week you could ask yourself: What have I stopped doing that once helped me follow the Lord more closely? And what might the Holy Spirit be calling me to do to deepen my relationship with God? A new season can be an invitation to begin again.
