Acts 2: 1-11
This is the fulfilment of Jesus’ promise in today’s Gospel to ask the Father to give his disciples another Advocate to be with them forever.

Romans 8: 8-17
Our purpose is not to please ourselves but to please God. Because the Spirit of God has made his home in us we are to live spiritual lives.

John 14: 15-16. 23-26
Following the glorification of Jesus the Holy Spirit will reveal the full meaning of Jesus’ words and deeds.
