We send our thanks and best wishes to all staff and children in our parish and locality who finished the school term on Friday. Special thanks to everyone who helped to prepare and celebrate our own Leavers' Mass here on Tuesday afternoon. I will be at an ordination in Leeds Diocese this weekend but I will be around in the parish until the end of July. Together with Fr. Andrew, Deacons David and Ian, and the whole team, I send best wishes and blessings to all parishioners who are beginning their summer holidays this weekend or in the coming weeks - travel safely and have a great time!
Welcome to Fr. Samuel and Fr. John Moffatt SJ who are visiting this weekend and celebrating some of our Masses.

As you know, Declan Meehan will stand down shortly after seven years has Head of Our Lady of Lourdes and as Deputy Head before that. We would all like to say thank you to Declan for his dedicated service to our school and the parish over these past 15 years. We wish him well for the future and send him with every blessing.

Thanks also go to Deacon David for his ministry among us here during July. As you know, David was ordained recently, and will return to our parish at weekends from September. This will be his last weekend with us before his summer break.

The Requiem Mass is on Tuesday 23rd July at 10 am.  May he rest in peace.

Thank you to those who have given feedback regarding the car park and especially the 8 am Mass.  Fr. David will relay all the feedback to the Finance Committee in September.

Please put your clothing/bedding into tied black sacks. Mary’s Meals sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.

Here at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish we are lucky to have a vibrant, thriving Brownie Pack meeting every Thursday (term-time only) in the Parish Hall , 6—7.30 pm, run by Leader Karen Landi, Assistant Leader Frances Kantorowicz and Unit Helper Sarah Hunt.
Brownies is about trying new things that teach girls aged seven to ten about themselves, their community and their world. Brownies introduces girls to a world of new opportunities, challenges and fun. Girls go along to camps, holidays, day trips and sleepovers. They get together with their friends at regular meetings where they learn new hobbies, get creative, explore other cultures and have outdoor adventures.  As well as trying activities in their meetings, girls choose from interest badges related to things they want to know more about. We have spaces to invite new girls to join the pack.  If you would like to register for girls to join please follow the link below.
