Wednesday is the solemnity of All Saints, a holy day of obligation. Thursday is All Souls’ Day (the commemoration of all the faithful departed). Our special Mass for deceased members of the parish and our own loved ones will take place on Thursday at 7.30pm. I hope everyone had a lovely half term and pray for God’s blessing on the special time ahead of us. Please remember the clocks go back on Saturday night/Sunday morning this weekend.
SICK AND RETIRED PRIESTS COLLECTION
Next weekend there will be a retiring collection after all Masses for the Sick and Retired Priests of the diocese. Thank you in advance for supporting our retired priests after their years of service.

SUNDAY MASS TIMES
As announced last week, please note that from Sunday 3 December, the 8.45 Mass will revert to 8.30am, and the 10am Mass will revert to 9.45am. This is to ease congestion on Sunday mornings. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
GIFT AID
It is now time to complete our Gift Aid Application to the Tax Office for this year. We can claim 25% of the value of your offering to the parish but you do have to pay the tax in the first place! So we need to know if you have stopped paying tax. We also need your correct and current address, so if you have moved in the last year or two, please make sure you have let us know. If anyone would like to start offering Gift Aid, please contact the office for a form. Thank you all—our claim for 2021/22 amounted to £17,643.30.
CHRISTMAS MARKET
This year’s sale will take place on the weekend of 18th/19th November. Items for raffle prizes are welcome and can be left in the Paper shop. Cakes on the day will be most welcome.
BERNADETTE CLUB NOVEMBER GATHERING
All members of the club are reminded that our meeting will take place in the hall at 2 pm on Thursday, 2nd November. We will have a return visit from Sheena who will lead a practical session on card-making. We look forward to seeing you then.
