REFLECTION
Jesus spoke in proverbs so that his listeners would remember and understand. There is nothing better than a good story. How do you describe the Kingdom of God? He begins by speaking about the miracle of the seed and the crop it produces. We will never fully see the effects of our seed sowing, but we can be sure it will, in God’s time, produce a good harvest. Then he describes how even the smallest seed can produce a mighty tree. The mighty Oak tree comes from tiny acorns; how much greater will the Word of God produce when it is spread by faith through all humanity.     David Frank
