FR DAVID WRITES
Today is Fr Andrew’s last day with us as assistant priest. Can I take this chance on your behalf to thank him for all his work, and especially his devoted visiting to those who are housebound. We wish him well as he departs. This is only au revoir as I’m sure he will be back from time to time. Fr Tom Blackburn will arrive on  Thursday. Please pray for Fr Tom as he takes up his new ministry in our parish. Also, I apologise that there are no 8 am Masses this week as I thought there would be. Please bear with us. WORKS IN THE CHURCH
This week, further work will take place. This will be the final work on the steps to the tabernacle. Additionally, some stress-testing will take place before the stone can be installed. To avoid drilling the floor, this will be done by placing weight on the sanctuary. This is due diligence but we do not anticipate any difficulties (please God). Please try to ignore, if you can, the materials in the sanctuary - hopefully it will be short lived. We are also working to have the church toilet fixed and renovated. It involves the outside drains so has been slightly more complicated, and not helped by the summer holidays. Thank you for your patience with all this.

PARKING IN THE ARNOS GROVE AREA (CHURCH, HALL & SCHOOL)
Enfield Council are proposing changes to the Arnos Grove Controlled Parking Zone. The council’s proposal is to increase the parking restriction times to 8am -7.30 pm Monday to Sunday which will greatly impact our parish. Details of the proposals can be viewed on the council’s consultation website - consultation ends on Friday 13 September. Please do write in via the council website and bear in mind that it will impact us here as it will make it impossible to park when attending mass. The link is here.

TOILET FACILITIES
Please use the parish centre toilets rather than the church toilet.
