FR. VINCENT:
There will be a collection next weekend for Fr. Vincent to thank him for all his hard work whilst he was with us. We shall be inviting Fr. Vincent back on Saturday 28th September to celebrate the 6.30 pm Mass, after which there will be a presentation and refreshments in the Parish Hall. You are all invited to join him to say your fond farewells
PARISH FUNDRAISING LUNCH:
Tickets will be on sale from this weekend after all Masses. The Lunch will be raising funds for new fencing around the Parish Hall, and takes place on Sunday 6th October at 1.15 pm. Tickets will cost £20, and include a three course buffet lunch and wine.
PARISH COUNCIL MEETING:
Monday 16th September at 8.15 pm in the Small Hall.
PAPER SHOP ROTA:
Volunteers please collect your new rotas from the Paper Shop thank you.

FR. MARTIN:
We welcome Fr Martin Tate who will be our New Assistant Priest and is joining us from this weekend. Fr Martin will introduce himself at all Masses. Fr Martin was ordained in July and this is his first appointment.
FR VINCENT:
Fr Vincent’s last weekend with us will be this weekend Saturday 31st August/Sunday 1st September.
We would like to thank Fr Vincent for all his hard work during his time with us and wish him every blessing for his ministry in his new appointment at the combined Parishes of Welwyn Garden City. We will be inviting Fr Vincent back to thank him and the date will be confirmed next weekend. Please remember Fr Vincent in your prayers.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY:
Because of the Bank Holiday on Monday 26th August, the church will close after the 10 am Mass. Mass times are as normal on that day.
PARISH OFFICE:
Please note the Parish Office will be open on Tuesday 10.30 am – 1 pm, Wednesday and Friday 9 am – 1 pm.

YOUTH 2000 PRAYER FESTIVAL:

VINCENZO SOMMELLA RIP:
The funeral will take place on Friday 16th August at 10 am.
THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY:
Thursday 15th August, is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass will be at 8 am, 10 am and 7.30 pm.
JOHNNY SCANLON RIP:
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 14th August at 10 am. The body will be brought into the church the evening before at 7 pm.
