Sunday 26th October 2025. Thirtieth Sunday of the Year

FR DAVID WRITES
Next weekend we will celebrate the solemnity of All Saints, which is traditionally kept on 1 November. In England and Wales, if a holy day falls on a Saturday it is moved to the Sunday. This means that all Masses next weekend - the vigils and the Sunday Masses - will be for All Saints. All Souls’ Day will be celebrated on Monday 3 Nov. Our special Parish Requiem Mass will be on Monday 3 November at 7pm (there will also be 10am Mass that day). This week we witnessed the historic state visit by the King and Queen to the Holy See, where they were received by Pope Leo. Let us keep the new Pope in our prayers in his work of service to Christian unity.
Sunday 19th October 2025. Twenty Ninth Sunday of the Year

FR TOM WRITES
Today we hear Jesus telling us to pray always and never lose heart. Many times we misunderstand prayer; we use prayer simply to ask God for things. However, prayer is fundamentally our opportunity to deepen our relationship with Him. Prayer is not something achieved by the flick of a switch but a process and a relationship which requires perseverance and faith. Let us persevere with prayer in our hearts, in our families, and in our community, confident that God’s love will never fail.
Sunday 12th October 2025. Twenty Eighth Sunday of the Year

CAR PARK: IMPORTANT
The car park will close today (Sunday) and remain closed until the repair works are complete. It is vital that all vehicles are removed today so that the car park is empty for the work to begin. Thank you for you cooperation.
OCTOBER - MONTH OF THE HOLY ROSARY
October is the month of the Holy Rosary. Please join us in church every weekday morning (Monday to Friday) at 9.30am to pray the mysteries of the Rosary.
THIS THURSDAY
Masses are at 10 am and 12 noon this Thursday (there will be no 8 am Mass).
Sunday 28th September 2025. Twenty Sixth Sunday of the Year

FR DAVID WRITES
Today there is a pastoral letter from the Cardinal to mark the 175th anniversary of the foundation of the Archdiocese of Westminster and the restoration of the Catholic Hierarchy in England and Wales in 1850. On 29th September 1850, Bl. Pope Pius IX, issued the papal bull Univerisalis Ecclesiae establishing 13 new dioceses in England and Wales (the old dioceses had been lost due to the English reformation). Among them, the senior diocese was named as Westminster. Happy Birthday, then, to the diocese and to all the faithful, clergy and religious in our diocesan family. There is also a short historical reflection written by Fr Nicholas Schofield available.
Sunday 7th September 2025. Twenty Third Sunday of the Year

FR DAVID WRITES
I hope that everyone had a good start to the new term at school or college this week. Welcome back if you have returned recently from your summer holidays. Last week, we welcomed back the 11.15am Music Group, and today the Choir returns to the 9.45am Mass. Thank you singers and musicians for your contribution to the liturgy.
