If your child is going into Year 6 in September and you are thinking of  applying to a Catholic Secondary School for September 2011, you should complete a ‘Secondary Transfer Self-Assessment Forms’ available today from Fr Tom, Fr Kevin or Deacon Vincent.  These forms must be completed and returned to the Parish Office by 11th July.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2011:

There are application forms available this weekend for the First Holy Communion Programme, which will start in September.  If your child is in a Catholic school and will start in Year Three next term and you regularly attend Mass then you should use the green form to apply.  You should also use the green form if your child attended the classes for children in non-Catholic schools this year. 

CHILDREN AT NON-CATHOLIC SCHOOLS:

If your child is not in a Catholic school, and will be in Year Two next term, then he/she will follow the two year programme of preparation and you should apply using the yellow form.  They will make their First Holy Communion in 2012. All Application forms are available from Fr Kevin & Deacon Vincent after Mass and should be returned to the Parish Office by Sunday 4th July

CEMETERY MASS:

Thank you to all those who helped in any way with the Cemetery Mass.

BAPTISM COURSE:

The June Baptism Course begins on Monday 7th between 7pm and 8pm when you will be able to register with one of the priests your intention to have your child baptized.  The course will continue on Monday 14th June.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY:

As Monday is a Bank Holiday the only Mass will be at 10am. The Church will be closed immediately after the Mass. 

MASS TIMES:

On Tuesday there will be Mass as usual at 8am & 10am.  There will be no priest available after the 10am Mass as we  are meeting with the Archbishop and the other Priests of the Diocese.

The second collection today is to help to pay for the visit of the Pope in September.  If you pay tax, please use the envelopes provided, giving your name and address so that your offering can be gift-aided. Thank you.

POPE’S VISIT:

Next Sunday, like every other Parish in the country, we have been asked to have a second collection to help with the expenses associated with the visit of the Pope in September.  There will be a collection after  every Mass. Please be as generous as you can be with this – thank you.

PRIEST TRAINING FUND:

Thank you to all those who contributed so generously to support the Seminary.  You were kind enough to donate £3,228.  If anyone still wishes to donate to the fund, then please give your donation to one of the Parish Team or place it in an envelope and put it through the Presbytery Letter Box.  Please also continue to pray for the work of the Seminary and that more men may answer the call of God to serve him in his Church as Priests. 

FAIR TRADE STALL WEEKEND:

This is a good day to stock up on your favourite Fair Trade goodies as the next stall is not until 20th June.  We are well stocked today.  What you pay ensures a fair price for hard working farmers in developing countries.  Profits from the stall go to CAFOD.

SPRING FOUR SEASONS DRAW:

On April 29th we are having a drive through the Essex countryside to visit the Chocolate Lady who will demonstrate her skills at making chocolates, let us sample them and serve us tea. There are a few places still on the coach, if you would like to join us, please phone Kathy on 020 8445 7812.  The cost is £20. 

OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL:
