MASS TIMES:

CAFOD HARVEST FAST DAY:
Thank you very much for your generosity last weekend. A total of £2,197 was collected.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS AND READERS:
There will be a session for the above volunteers on Saturday 12th November from 1pm – 5pm.
NEW VOLUNTEERS:
We would also like to invite new volunteers who would like to become Eucharistic Ministers or Readers. If you would like to volunteer for one or both of the above please fill in the tear off slip at the bottom of the Newsletter and post it through the Presbytery Letter Box – thank you.

McMILLAN COFFEE MORNING:
Next Sunday, October 16th there will be a coffee morning for McMillan nurses in the Parish Centre after all morning masses. Offers of home made cales and “recycled” gifts for the raffle will be most welcome. Please come along and make this a huge success!!
BAPTISM APPLICATIONS:
The October course continues on Monday 10th October at 7.30 pm.
FAIR TRADE:
Today's stall shows off a wide range of ingenious toys, stationery and kitchen items from Fair Trade co-ops throughout the developing world as well as our regular food selection. Ideal for you or for gifts.

McMILLAN COFFEE MORNING:
On Sunday, October 16th in the Parish Centre after all morning masses. Offers of home made cales and unwanted gifts for the raffle will be most welcome. Please come along and make this a huge success!!
BAPTISM APPLICATIONS:
The October course begins with applications on Monday 3rd October between 7pm – 8pm. Please come to the lobby of the Parish Hall.
PARISH COUNCIL:
Meets on Monday 3rd October, at 8.15pm in the Small Hall.
FAIR TRADE FILLERS:
Come and look at the stall in the Hall next Sunday. Besides a full stock of the food you like to eat, we have a range of economy items like yo-yos and juggling balls.
CAFOD HARVEST FAST DAY:
There will be a speaker from CAFOD at all Masses this weekend followed by our Harvest Fast collection. Envelopes are at the back of the church today for your donations.

CONVENT MASS:
There will be a Mass in the Convent at 2, Brookdale on Thursday, September 8th at 7.30pm. All welcome.
PENNIES FOR PEACE:
If you would like to donate your unwanted pennies to our monthly collection for the work of Pax Christi, please take a jar from the shelf at the back of the church. If you would like to know more about Pax Christi, you could look at their website on www.paxchristi.org.uk/about. Jars are usually collected on the last weekend of the month.
NEW TRANSLATION OF THE MASS:
The new translation of the Mass will begin next weekend. Sheets will be available for everyone to use.

VOLUNTEERS:
If you are named on a rota and know that you will not available to read, act as a Minister of Communion, man the shop, or make coffee after Mass then please be kind enough to find someone to replace you. This is particularly necessary at holiday time especially when a visiting Priest is celebrating Mass. Thank you.

ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE IN HONOUR OF BLESSED CYPRIAN IWENE TANSI:
At Mount Saint Bernard Abbey Whitwick, Coalville, Leicestershire on Saturday 27th August starting at 11am. For coach booking contact Bernadette on 07813 367787. Seats are £15 adults, £8 children. Early booking is advised.
