APPEAL - SISTERS OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS AND MARY:

Thank you to all those who gave so generously to the Mission Appeal last weekend by the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.  A staggering £2,522 was raised.  If you would still like to give, please place your donation in an envelope, marked “Mission Appeal” and either pop this through the letter box of the Presbytery or give it to Fr Kevin.

SPONSORED WALK:

Anuli, one of our parishioners, completed a sponsored walk yesterday to raise money for the Guild of Our Lady of Good Counsel, a Catholic Charity that offers support to new and expectant mothers who otherwise may not feel able to keep their babies. They offer  support, both practical, emotional and financial and are in need of funds to continue with this.  If you would like to find out more, and feel able to contribute, you can make a donation online at www.justgiving.com/Anulika-Igboaka.  Or else Anuli will be collecting sponsorship after all Sunday masses today.  Thank you for your generosity.

BAPTISM SIGNINGS:

NEW CHURCH FLOORING:

Unfortunately, the work in the church has over-run and it is not likely that the Sanctuary floor will be finished before the end of this coming week.  There is a wedding on Saturday 21st August, so it would be good if the church could be cleaned thoroughly on Friday after the 10 am Mass.  Many hands make light work so if as many people as possible could come ready to clean the church on Friday morning at around 10.30 am that would be wonderful.  In advance, thank you!

MASS THIS WEEK:

10 am Mass will continue in the Parish Hall from Monday to Friday this week.  There are no 8 am Masses.

SPONSORED WALK:

Anuli Igboaka, a parishioner, is taking part in a 10 mile sponsored walk on Saturday 21st August to raise money for the Guild of Our Lady of Good Counsel. To find out more and to make a donation, please visit www.justgiving.com/Anulika-Igboaka. She is grateful for any contribution at all.

NEW CHURCH FLOORING:

The work went well last week and will continue this week so Mass from Monday to Saturday (except Tuesday) will be at 10am in the Parish Hall.  With a bit of luck next weekend we will have a beautiful new Sanctuary floor.  Thank you to those who worked to clean the Church on Saturday morning for Sunday, but a bit more help would be good.  Please if you can spare some time this coming Saturday after the 10am Mass it would be much appreciated.

REQUIEM, COLIN HUGHES RIP:

The funeral will take place on Tuesday 10th August at 10 am IN THE CHURCH

Congratulations to Deacon Vincent, who has been informed by the Archbishop that he will be ordained to the priesthood at midday on Saturday 30th October at Tollington Park Parish.

NEW CHURCH FLOORING:

Work is progressing on the marble sanctuary flooring.  Please note that because of this, 10 am Mass from Monday to Saturday will be in the Parish Hall until the work is finished.

Saturday evening and Sunday Masses will be celebrated in the Church.

FOUR SEASONS DRAW:

The Pound a Month Summer Four Seasons Draw takes place on Sunday 8th August in the Parish Hall after the 9.45 am Mass.  Subscriptions need to be in by Saturday 7th August.

NEW CHURCH FLOORING:
